Bibiane Kabwa has taught science at public high schools in New York City and abroad for over 10 years. She has always enjoyed finding alternative ways to explain science concepts to her students in order to reach the various types of learners, especially the ones who struggle with science. She is employing examples, experiments, puzzles and other types of activities to reach that goal.

As a native Austrian, her first language is German and she has taught it as a foreign language for 2 years. Latin has always been one of her favorite subjects in school and she found it very useful in learning other languages as well as in understanding science terminology. Consequently, after having studied it for 6 years in high school, she continued to take Latin classes for the first two years of college.
Bibiane Kabwa is also a mother to 2 middle school kids in Park Slope schools and therefore is well aware of the challenges that students might face in school. She lives in Brooklyn with her family.
